Students in grades 7-12 are invited to take on the role of the investigative reporter as they consult with agriculture experts to gather information and craft a compelling story about agriculture in the 21st century.
Students will follow the inquiry process to explore a variety of current agriculture topics and develop the “essential question” to be addressed in their report. They will research, contact, and consult with local area experts to gather reliable, first-hand information and connect with the agriculture community.
Students submitting outstanding entries will have the opportunity to have their work showcased in select media outlets and publications, and Ag for Life events Potential for further public recognition, such as local radio and podcast interviews to celebrate outstanding students
