Virtual Farm School
Bringing Agriculture To Life Through LIVE Virtual Farm Tours.
Our Virtual Farm School program showcases different farmers and ranchers across Alberta. The goal is for students to see how diverse Alberta agriculture is through a series of virtual visits to the farm.
The program is available to Alberta K-3 teachers and their class/es.
HOW IT WORKS:
A date is selected each month for the farm or ranch tour. The program runs September - December.
Teachers are sent an access link for the live visit the day prior to the scheduled date. Recordings will be available.
Student questions are encouraged and can be submitted via the chat function on the platform.
Student activity booklets and/or colouring sheets will be available for order at no costs to coordinate with farm topic.
The visit is approx. 15-30 minutes pending student engagement.
Visits are weather dependent and will be rescheduled if needed to ensure a fulsome experience for students.
Teachers will be asked to complete a short survey following the event.
