Our Virtual Farm School program showcases different farmers and ranchers across Alberta. The goal is for students to see how diverse Alberta agriculture is through a series of virtual visits to the farm.

The program is available to Alberta K-3 teachers and their class/es.

HOW IT WORKS:

  • A date is selected each month for the farm or ranch tour. The program runs September - December.

  • Teachers are sent an access link for the live visit the day prior to the scheduled date. Recordings will be available

  • Student questions are encouraged and can be submitted via the chat function on the platform.

  • Student activity booklets and/or colouring sheets will be available for order at no costs to coordinate with farm topic.

  • The visit is approx. 15-30 minutes pending student engagement.

  • Visits are weather dependent and will be rescheduled if needed to ensure a fulsome experience for students.

  • Teachers will be asked to complete a short survey following the event.
