Ag for Life Receives Funding for 'Know Your Food' Mobile Education Trailer

The McCain Foundation Provides $50,000 in Funding



CALGARY – Alta. – Agriculture for Life (Ag for Life) is pleased to announce that it has received grant funding from The McCain Foundation to help launch a multi-faceted ‘Know Your Food’ initiative. One of the main components – a unique and thought-provoking mobile education trailer showcasing Alberta agriculture and food production.


The 34 ft. ‘Know Your Food’ mobile education trailer is equipped with several interactive stations and offers a learning experience like no other. Each station delivers science-based, factual and non-biased information, gathered from industry professionals and experts in the field. In addition to the mobile education trailer, Ag for Life will launch a corresponding website to provide further information on all components found inside the trailer.


Ag for Life envisions a province where all Albertans understand the importance of the agriculture industry and the significant impact it has on our lives. Through the development and delivery of education programs such as the ‘Know Your Food’ initiative, Ag for Life is engaging Albertans across the province in meaningful conversations around agriculture and food production.
