SOIL... it nourishes our plants, stores water and supports all wildlife… but we don’t often think about it, because it’s underneath our feet. World Soil Day is held annually on December 5th as a means to focus attention on the importance of healthy soil and to advocate for the sustainable management of soil resources.
In an effort to bring attention to this special day, we have created a list of activities for educators and parents to get youth thinking about the importance of soil. After all, SOIL IS WHERE FOOD BEGINS.
