Feed Their Curiosity
Join our Farm to School classroom series during the month of March to learn about Alberta agriculture
and The Story of Food.
Our series will feature live interactive sessions with members of the agriculture community designed to bring agriculture alive in your classroom. Hear behind-the-scenes stories and interact with scientists, veterinarians, researchers, farmers, ranchers, foodies, nutritionists and other amazing people along the food value chain.
By connecting classrooms with farmers and people with a passion for agriculture and food, students and teachers learn firsthand about this sector through the incredible story shared by the volunteers visiting with them.
Elementary students will learn cool facts about each commodity, while Junior and Senior high students will dig a bit deeper to learn more about the science, technology, and innovation being employed today by farmers and ranchers
to ensure we can sustainably feed a growing population.
Register for one or all sessions and receive a complimentary teacher package of downloadable resources including student activity sheets, lesson plans, and more. Presentations are 30–45 minutes, including student Q & A.
