The Joy of Agriculture Poetry Contest is open to Alberta students in Grade 4 - Grade 12.
Submissions are accepted from April 1 to April 30th, 2024.

Three classrooms will be selected to receive a classroom goodie basket loaded with farm-themed goodies, including books, toys and educational materials related to agriculture.

Haiku: A short poem that talks about nature and has three lines. The first line has 5 syllables, the second line has 7 syllables, and the third line has 5 syllables.

Sonnet: A poem with 14 lines that can tell a story or talk about feelings. Some sonnets rhyme in a special way, like AABBCCDD.
